Tom Ellis and the rest of the cast members are now gearing up for Lucifer Season 5. The group graced the Los Angeles Lucifer convention and revealed their time filming the last and final season and the possibility of the coming of Lucifer's archenemy Michael.
At the day one of the event, D.B. Woodside (Amenadiel), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Maze), and Aimee Garcia (Ella) talked about the burning questions about the show's final season. According to Express, there are longstanding speculations about the coming of more archangels in the series.
Unintentionally, Woodside seemed to drop who would be this archangel is that fans are about to see. "I think a lot of the family has a problem with Michael," he said when asked who he would like to see in the final season.Does this mean Lucifer's twin brother will cause trouble in Lucifer Season 5? In the comic books, it was revealed Michael was the one who ousted Lucifer out of heaven. So if he ever appears in the series, there is a big possibility there will be more friction between the two.
In the original text, Michael is said to be someone who never "quite saw eye-to-eye" with Lucifer. The two have different personalities and a lot of differences. Michael is described to be as patient, kind, and does what is just.
Lucifer, on the other hand, used to be selfish until he meets Chloe (Lauren German) that he changed his life. If Michael does appear in Lucifer Season 5, it may never be good news for Lucifer. It will also affirm the fan theory that Michael may come as a significant character in the Netflix hit series. A Redditor claimed Michael would eventually be seen in the show, along with Azrael (Charlyne Yi). If this happens, fans may also see the return of Lucifer's sister, Azrael.
Meanwhile, Ellis became emotional when he talked about his last day on the set of Lucifer Season 5, per Metro News. The 40-year-old star said he would find it hard to deal with the fact that Lucifer is not a part of his life anymore.
"I can categorically say that I will never have another experience like this," he said. "When they call cut on the last day, it's going to be a lot to take in."
Ellis continued to say he was not aware of how much love fans have for the show until Fox canceled the series. Despite a lot of contents on television today, for Ellis, to have a show that people noticed is already a big achievement. Lucifer Season 5 is set to be out in 2020 on Netflix.
